$225,000 Inverse Condemnation Settlement For Barre Enthusiasts Fitness Studio

Crockett & Associates was able to reach an amicable $225,000 settlement in favor of client Barre Enthusiasts from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority for inverse condemnation damages related to the construction of the Regional Connector Transit Corridor subway project near the fitness studio in Downtown Los Angeles. Though LA Metro typically does not compensate for new businesses, Crockett & Associates was able to work through the issue to reach settlement.  The payment was compensation for claims related to construction effects, light, noise, dust, vibration claims, property damage, emotional distress, physical injuries, nuisance, loss of use, loss in business value, payment of just compensation, attorneys’ fees, costs, litigation expenses, interest, severance damages, loss of goodwill, loss of or damage to improvements pertaining to the realty, furniture, fixtures and equipment and/or inventory, precondemnation damages, or inverse condemnations, lease losses, and government and subcontractor use.
