Courtney is an experienced litigator and former associate at Latham & Watkins who has represented a number of Fortune 500 companies on issues involving toxic tort and products liability litigation, CEQA compliance & litigation, Prop. 65 claims, environmental compliance and litigation, consumer information and privacy claims, and general business disputes. Courtney has practiced extensively before federal and state courts in both individual and class action cases, and has argued before the California Court of Appeal, receiving a published decision in her client’s favor in Absher v. AutoZone (2008) 164 Cal.App.4th 332.
Courtney received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and has a B.A. in English & French (magna cum laude) from Claremont McKenna College. She is admitted to practice in all California State and federal courts, and the United States Supreme Court. Courtney was named a Rising Star in 2012 by Super Lawyer Magazine.
